A catechesis session on the synod was organized for the youth of the Sindhudurg Diocese on 4th and 5th December 2021 in Navsarni Kendra Sawantwadi.Fr. Cajeton Rodrigues explained the basics of the synod; Fr Amit D’Britto Ofm Cap explained the synodal journey in the diocese; Fr Alex D’mello spoke on the importance of the participation of youth in the synod. It was part of a report of the last two month’s preparation. The youth also shared ideas on how they can participate in the Synod.
It was a fruitful meeting; youth from 11 parishes and six youth animators were present. Fr. Melwin Pais, the youth director coordinated the program.
