Prison Ministry India opens home for children in Sindhudurg

The Prison Ministry India Maharashtra opened a home for children (boys) whose parents are in prison. This is the first home in Maharashtra.

Bishop Alwyn Barreto offered the premises. The administration of the home has been placed under the care of the Holy Cross Sisters.

Fr Wilfred Fernandes, Director of PMI Maharashtra, organised the whole program along with his team. Fr Manuel Dsilva, in charge of PMI Sindhudurg, and Sr Manisha Kolhe coordinated the event.

A large number of priests and religious women and men attended the event.
