On 3 November, the Diocese of Sindhudurg had organised its first synod training session for its diocesan clergy at Navsarni Kendra. Bishop Alwyn Barreto along with more than 16 priests had participated in the program.
Fr Alex D’mello, Diocesan Synod Convener, along with Fr Cajetan Rodrigues conducted the sessions. While Fr Alex spoke on the concept of synodality and the roadmap of the diocesan phase consultation, Fr Cajetan presented an overview of the synod 2021-2023, including the role of the parish co-ordinators and pointers on organising the parish-level consultations. The program concluded with a q&a session.
A similar program will be organised in the coming days for all the religious clergy and religious women.
