The Diocese of Sindhudurg conducted a training session for the directors of social work who are active in the diocese. Fr Melwin Pais, Director of Sindhudurg Diocesan Development Society along with the Medical Mission Sisters, Sawantwadi; Assisi Bhavan, Insuli Banda; Christ the King Sisters, Auxilium Convent, Oros; Karun Sadan Bhedshi had participated in the session.
Fr Amit D’Britto OFM Cap gave an overview of the synod 2021-2023; Fr Alex D’mello, Convener of the Synod Committee spoke on the synodality. He also explained to them the three important steps of preparation i.e training of coordination, how to plan the consultation, how to conduct the session and the questions needed to focus on during the consultation.
Bishop Alwyn Barreto who also was present for the workshop thanked all the participants for joining in and invited them to boost their collaboration with the diocese.
